The effect of having sex before exercise

"Our data will show that sex will not damage muscle strength when done within 12 hours of exercise in the gym," Astorino said.

"There are thoughts that testosterone levels may change before and after sex, which can change things like mood and performance," he says.

One study in China in 2003 found that a man's testosterone level would remain relatively stable in the days following ejaculation. However, if he can survive not doing it for a full week, his level will increase by nearly 45 percent on the seventh day.
